    HOLIDAY EATING TIPS
    1. Avoid carrot sticks. Anyone who puts carrots on a holiday buffet table knows nothing of the Holiday spirit. In fact, if you see carrots, leave immediately. Go next door, where they're serving rum balls.

    2. Drink as much eggnog as you can. And quickly. It's rare.. You cannot find it any other time of year but now. So drink up! Who cares that it has 10,000 calories in every sip? It's not as if you're going to turn into an eggnog-alcoholic or something. It's a treat. Enjoy it. Have one for me. Have two. It's later than you think. It's Christmas!

    3. If something comes with gravy, use it. That's the whole point of gravy. Gravy does not stand alone. Pour it on. Make a volcano out of your mashed potatoes. Fill it with gravy. Eat the volcano. Repeat.

    4. As for mashed potatoes, always ask if they're made with skim milk or whole milk. If it's skim, pass. Why bother? It's like buying a sports car with an automatic transmission.

    5. Do not have a snack before going to a party in an effort to control your eating. The whole point of going to a Holiday party is to eat other people's food for free. Lots of it. Hello?

    6. Under no circumstances should you exercise between now and New Year's. You can do that in January when you have nothing else to do.. This is the time for long naps, which you'll need after circling the buffet table while carrying a 10-pound plate of food and that vat of eggnog.

    7. If you come across something really good at a buffet table, like frosted Christmas cookies in the shape and size of Santa, position yourself near them and don't budge. Have as many as you can before becoming the center of attention. They're like a beautiful pair of shoes. If you leave them behind, you're never going to see them again.

    8. Same for pies. Apple, Pumpkin, Mincemeat. Have a slice of each. Or if you don't like mincemeat, have two apples and one pumpkin. Always have three. When else do you get to have more than one dessert? Labor Day?

    9. Did someone mention fruitcake? Granted, it's loaded with the mandatory celebratory calories, but avoid it at all cost. I mean, have some standards.

    10. One final tip: If you don't feel terrible when you leave the party or get up from the table, you haven't been paying attention. Re-read tips; start over, but hurry, January is just around the corner. Remember this motto to live by:

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate and wine in one hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Have a Merry Christmas & a great holiday season!!

    x-mas
So the Santa Clause parade is tomorrow at 5:30, the forcast says rain. We've had rain for the past few weeks and I am tired of it, really.

Despite the rain however I am finding myself getting wrapped up in the "magic" of it all. I am looking forward to standing at the parade getting wet, watching the boys having fun watching and puddle splashing. Joey is a really good puddle jumper who can spot a great one miles away.

I can not wait to put my lights on the balcony. Normally there is no xmas decorations of any sort till the first weekend of December. BUT the HECK with tradition! I'm starting a new one! the decorations go up the weekend of the Santa Clause Parade! Can't wait.

Husband wont be to happy when I tell him when he gets home from work. oh well ! Happy Holidays!

Whatever you give a woman, she's going to multiply.  If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby.  If you give her a house, she'll give you a home.  If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal.  If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart.  She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her.  So - if you give her any crap, you will receive a ton of shit!!!

I'm wondering if anyone knows a nice way to tell (or not tell) a "friend" that you just don't want to be friends with them anymore?

Joey is due for his 18 month shots today (yes 4 months late - I'm horrid with these things).  I am not looking forward to this, the holding down my child, to hearing him cry in pain and then discomfort.  I know I'm doing the right thing for him,  but its soooo hard.

It is a good thing that neither the boys will need them again till school - David in only a year and a half!  They do grow up so fast.

And have I mentioned lately that over the last 10 years or so I have managed to loose a bit of weight since my cam days!  And it as all lost within the last year.  I have managed to loose approximently 60 lbs and still going (hopefully).  Still slightly over weight but now manageable.  I got another 20 lbs to loose till I am completely happay with my weight (but still damn happy where i am).

snow in march!!!!!!  ugly view at this time of year... especially in Victoria, BC.  Its sorta unheard off.   The kids loved it,  We went out and David tried to build a snowman (a 3 year olds version).  Then when we got too cold we came back inside, climbed up 4 stories of stairs, down one, up one then down 2 in the elevator!  Tons of good fun - too bad they dont seem tired enough for their naps!

It's absolutely amazing how fast this place can get messy.  I can spend most of the day cleaning and its never totally clean.  Even when the kids sleep there is a toy to be found somewhere.  It drives me nuts.

I am turning into a neat freak!!!

    Career Change
Its time for me to have a career change!  Yes I am now a stay at home mom now but once my boys are in school (3 years for the youngest to be p/t school and 4 for both to be f/t school).

I have no clue what career path I am going to choose now.  I have a few idea's but one in paticular i cant do at least now.  I would have loved to have become a Mid-Wife (dealing with pregnant women and delivering babies) but there are no schools on this island to get that kind of education, nor do I want to locate to Vancouver for the length of the course due to my family and husbands family here, nor can i compute easily (1.5 hours each way on a farry and a 30 min drive to the farry and god only knows how far of a drive once in Vancouver.

So I am thinking maybe take the time to properly learn Web Design utalizing all the options out there including Dreamweaver and all those neat programs, taking the time to learn XHTML, java, C++ and all of those.  Learning the languages would be realitively easy seeing as how my husband is a Programmer (and a damn good one) and has all the learning books and can offer tips and lessons.

But I would love other options that I havent thought of.  And i would want something I can learn from home (college or university courses that I can do from home included).  I just dont have a clue how to choose the type of career i want.  I want one now where I can work from home or in a office, I dont want to deal with the general public, something in the way of artistic creativety and that i can learn from home at my pace while I raise my children.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    the kitty!
Well the kitty is now just over 8 weeks old is a lil bugger as all kitten are.  He has been named Roll-Ball by a determined 3 year old who kept insisting that was his name.  He even introduced the kitty to people by that name, so thats his name.  Something to tease David about as he gets older and then when he realizes what a silly name that is for a kitty we will then just nick-name him Rollie.

Im getting excited for tonight!!! Me and my older son (3 yrs) are off for him to pick out his very own kitten that he has been asking for.  He has absolutely no clue that thats what we are getting but he knows that once daddy gets home from work we are going for a car ride to get something very special for him and his baby brother!

I really do think this will make his day!  Now to see if I can keep a secret from a 3 year old for 9.5 hours.

    My old sites or images
Ok so my husband is interested in looking at some of my old images or websites that contain some web cam images but the only website I can remember is the last one at purpleinternet.co.uk one that does not contain images.

So can anyone out there help me out at all with either remembering where I hosted my websites or their address's or where images are stored on the net?  Or perhaps someone actually has these images and can send some to me?  Let me know if you could help out.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
